However, chest pain should never be ignored. Heart-related chest pain can feel similar to stress-related discomfort, and it can be difficult to tell the difference without medical evaluation.
If chest pain is severe, persistent, or accompanied by symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness, or nausea, seek medical attention immediately.
